
Group Visit Overview

The museum is now accepting group reservations for the Fall of 2004 and later.
- A group is defined as 20 or more paid admissions organized in advance by a group leader or tour planner.
- All groups require a reservation.
- Discounted admission rates apply to reservations made in advance only. Groups that arrive without a reservation will be accommodated, subject to availability, and charged the general admission rate.
- Adult groups: $4 per adult
- Senior groups (ages 65+): $2 per senior
- Active-Duty Military: $2 per active-duty person (does not extend to family members)
- Student groups (college): $2 per student
- Student/children groups (ages up to 18): $2 per student/child
- Chaperones: required number = free-of-charge; additional chaperones = discounted adult rate
- Tour guides: free-of-charge
- Reservations require advance payment in full before they can be confirmed via faxed notice from the museum. Your reservation is not confirmed until you receive this notice.
- Visa and MasterCard credit cards are accepted, as well as checks made payable to the Marian Koshland Science Museum. Checks are accepted for group reservation payment only. Checks are not accepted at the door for general admission.
- Food, beverages, chewing gum, smoking, and the use of cellular/mobile phones are not permitted in the museum’s exhibit spaces.
- Allow a minimum of one (1) hour for your group’s visit.
Complete and submit the Group Visit Request form with your preferred dates and times. The museum’s Group Reservation Coordinator will respond to your request within two (2) business days.
Group Arrivals
- Groups should arrive at the museum’s entrance at the NE corner of 6th & E Streets, NW.
- Group leaders should bring their confirmation notice to expedite check-in at the ticket counter in the museum lobby.
- All group members must enter the museum at the group’s scheduled arrival time.
If arriving by motorcoach, group visitors are asked to leave bags and backpacks on the coach. There is no coatroom within the museum.
- Motorcoaches can drop-off and pick-up visitors on E Street. Most motorcoaches park at Union Station for approximately $20 per day. See Washington, DC’s Tour Bus Parking section at www.ddot.dc.gov for more information.
